Understand the requirements for Eternal Life are not based on what you can do (your goodness, giving, good heart, hospitality, knowledge, and spirituality, etc.) but on what Jesus Christ has done.
According to Jesus, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless is born again (John 3:3). The Bible was written, "so that you may know that you have eternal life”(1 John 5:13). According to the Word,
we have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
TO BE BORN AGAIN AND HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN YOU MUST UNDERSTAND:
God is holy. God is absolutely and perfectly holy (Isaiah 6:3), therefore He cannot commit or approve of evil (James 1:13). God requires holiness of us as well. First Peter 1:16 says, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
1. WE ARE ALL SINNERS
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"The Bible says, there is none righteous, no, no one is perfect” before a Holy God. As it is written, we have all broken his laws therefore in need of mercy and forgiveness from God (Titus 3:5-7). Because of our sin, we deserve eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46).
2. WE MUST REPENT
JESUS said, "Repent and believe the good news" (Mark 1:15). All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name" (Acts 10:43). We're utterly incapable of understanding, loving, or pleasing God on our own. (Romans 3:10-12).
God took on flesh and became a human being in the person of Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14). Jesus lived a perfectly righteous and sinless life (John 8:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus then died on the cross in our place, taking the punishment that we deserve (Romans 5:8). Then Jesus rose from the dead to prove His victory over sin, death, and hell (Colossians 2:15; 1 Corinthians chapter 15).
3. WE MUST BELIEVE AND RECEIVE HIM AS LORD AND SAVIOR IN YOUR LIFE.
Because of all of this, we can have our sins forgiven and be promised eternal life in heaven if we will just place our faith in Jesus Christ. All we have to do is believe that He died in our place and rose from the dead (Romans 10:9-10). Receive him to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. (1 JOHN 5:1) If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and them in God. (1 John 4:15).

(16) “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (17) For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (18) He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
May the creator of heavens and earth, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
“bless you and keep you;
make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
